Chiareggio - Italian Alps

Built in the 1950s in the Italian Alps, at 1600m above sea level, this single storey, 70m2 family holiday home nestles into a clearing at the edge of a woods of pine and fir trees. Having obtained, against all odds, planning permission for the addition of two bedrooms and two shower rooms, the new occupants are also intent on refurbishing the interior to suit their personal needs, while at the same time ensuring that the character of this ship-shape and yet cosy mountain house is fully retained.
